Reiki & The Chakras
Reiki is the movement and balancing of energy within the body. At the core of this practice are the seven major chakras—energy centers that influence our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Root Chakra – Located at the base of the spine (or feet), the Root Chakra is associated with grounding, stability, and a sense of security.
Sacral Chakra – Found just below the navel, this chakra governs creativity, sexuality, and emotional expression.
Solar Plexus Chakra – Situated in the center of the abdomen, it represents personal power, confidence, and self-worth.
Heart Chakra – Located in the center of the chest, the Heart Chakra is the center of love, compassion, and connection in our relationships.
Throat Chakra – This chakra, found in the throat, supports communication, self-expression, and truth.
Third Eye Chakra – Positioned in the center of the forehead, it symbolizes intuition, inner wisdom, and the ability to see beyond the physical.
Crown Chakra – Located at the top of the head, the Crown Chakra connects us to higher consciousness, spiritual insight, and inner knowing.
When any of these chakras become blocked or unbalanced, it can affect us emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Reiki helps restore energetic flow, supporting overall harmony and well-being.
What to Expect During a Reiki Healing Session
Reiki healing is typically done with the recipient lying comfortably on their back. Crystals may be placed on or near the body to support energy flow. Light touch, calming music, and a peaceful environment help facilitate deep relaxation. One-hour sessions also include singing bowl therapy, which enhances the healing experience through sound vibration.
During the session, it’s common to feel the energy moving through the body. This may be experienced as warmth or coolness in specific areas, gentle tingling, vibrations, or even a sense of light pressure. Emotional releases, such as crying, can occur as energy is cleared—this is completely natural and part of the healing process.
Some recipients report seeing bursts of colorful light or having subtle internal shifts. Breathwork and various relaxation techniques are incorporated to support the body’s natural healing response. Often, the Reiki practitioner will receive intuitive insights that guide them to areas needing deeper attention and energetic clearing.
Most people leave a session feeling lighter, more balanced, and deeply refreshed.
